もともと油分が含まれるウールは、水を弾き汚れが付きにくい性質を持っています。この椅子敷きは、糸がびっしり密になっているのでホコリやゴミも入りにくく、日頃は時々表面を軽くはたく程度で十分です。

自宅で手洗いされる場合は、乾きの早い夏がいいでしょう。セーターを洗う要領で、ぬるま湯で押し洗いした後に脱水、必ず裏向きで平干ししてください。

ドラム洗濯機の場合は脱水が難しいので、クリーニングをおすすめします。

Wool has great water repellency and is not easily stained. In addition, it does not catch dust easily because it has a high density of strings. Therefore, beating the dust off lightly is enough as an occasional house chore. If you want to wash chair‐rug‐mat at home, I recommend summertime because they dry quickly. Just like washing a sweater, please handwash it by gently pushing it up and down in lukewarm water, squeeze water out of it and dry it flat upside down. If you are using a drum type washing machine, I recommend taking them to the dry cleaners because squeezing water out is difficult.
